He is Always With Us

Today before mass, it was a little chilly, and a bit overcast. I love rainy weather more than most, but this morning, it just seemed a little gloomy out.

During the service, we stood for the Gospel, and as Father Robinson began reading the Gospel, the sun broke through the clouds. With the colored stained glass, it spread the most amazing light throughout the parish, and shone directly onto the text of the reading that I was holding. Then as soon as he was done, the light was gone, and it was dark again.

Then it happened again as we began the Nicene Creed, where we profess our faith, what we believe in.

And finally, again at the moment of the Consecration, the highest point of the mass. Where Christ is with us in a special way, body, blood, soul and divinity.

I was brought out of my normal routine today, due to errands out in the Arden area. I don't normally attend St. Ignatius parish. If I hadn't stood in that particular spot, attended that particular mass (they have three on Sundays), at that particular parish, on this particular Sunday, I would not have experienced those small moments of grace that He gave me.

God is truly faithful and good in all that he does! Today was another concrete proof that He is always with me. Always with you. Always will all of us, standing by us. Wherever you are, whatever is happening in your life, you can be assured of His presence, His grace, His love.

He is truly amazing.

On a side note, stay tuned to the blog starting Thursday. I will be leaving for Louisiana till after Thanksgiving, and plan on posting plenty of pictures. I will also make my online Picasa album for this trip available to view. There will only be one or two regular posts, but the other posts besides them should be interesting. I have never been to Louisiana, so what you will see for the first time, is what I saw for the first time.

God bless, and have a good night.
