Quote of the Day - The Degree that Matters

As the spring semester approaches, we need to remember the following words from Mother Angelica. Yes, learning is all well and good, and can be beneficial in our mission to spread the Gospel in word and action. But in the end, it all comes down to this:

Where most men work for degrees after their names, we work for one before our names: "St." It's a much more difficult degree to attain. It takes a lifetime, and you don't get your diploma till your dead.

-Mother Mary Angelica

This dear brothers and sisters, especially those of you who are still in school, is the most important degree that we will ever receive. Let nothing stand in the way of your quest for this, for eternal life in the presence of Our Lord...

Pax et bonum,
Dean

Yeah, what she said. Praying for all things to come together under GOD's will for you. You have taken on an awesome task (mostly because of your health issues) but I firmly belive ... you can do this; and if you hit a bump in the road ... say 'JESUS, I trust in you' ... and a little plea to St. John Bosco could push it on forward ... maybe faster. ;*-}
Love you, Nanny

Reckon Our Lord does not ask how many degrees we have or what our g.p.a. was. Indeed, I have never been asked my g.p.a.- ever, and I don't even know it!

Saint - what a great title...we are ALL called to be saints -

Praying for you this moment...10:28 p.s.t. 3 January 2009
