We must put down childish things...

In case you have been living under a rock, something amazing happened today. Once again, the reigns of power were peacefully passed from one U.S. President to the next. I think people take for granted this awesome fact. It is one of the hallmarks of our great nation, that every four years, the people decide who will lead them. Then when it comes time, the government honors the people's will, unlike so many other nations.

President Obama had some inspiring words for us all today. Let us pray that we may all live up to them, that we may work in faith, hope, and charity.

Let us also pray for the President, that he may faithfully execute his duties for all people in the United States, especially the most innocent and downtrodden.

We have a long, tough road ahead. But we can do it. Let us pray that we all have the courage and fortitude to be a driving force for change and to keep God, and His will, at the center of it all.

Mr. President, our prayers are with you.

God bless America.

Pax et bonum,
Dean
